Best MCP servers for relationships and contacts in 2026

An MCP server for relationships has a narrower job than a server for files, search, or a code repository. It should hold the people you want to remember, the notes that make a follow-up specific, and a way for the assistant you already use to read and update that record with your approval.

Several products document that kind of connection in 2026. This page lists what to check, points at the public docs for each option already covered on withppl.com, and shows how ppl fits when you want one personal CRM for Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor.

What to check before you connect your contacts

Use the same small test for any server you are considering. Add two people you know well, save one note after a real conversation, and ask the assistant a question that depends on that note. Then look at the record yourself.

• A remote MCP address you can paste in, so the assistant is talking to a hosted server.
• A browser sign-in or another approval you can review, with a way to pause or revoke access later.
• Contacts plus the notes, dates, and follow-ups that make a contact useful.
• A place you can open in a browser and correct a mistake without going back through the chat.
• Support for the clients you actually use. Connector screens differ by product and plan.

A server that is excellent at searching the web or editing a repository can still be the wrong place for a friend's interview date. Match the server to the record you want to keep.

Documented options for relationship records

These products publish an MCP connection for contacts or relationship notes. Read their current docs, because setup screens change. The short descriptions below match the public comparisons on this site.

Dex offers a hosted MCP server and documents assistant access to contacts, notes, and reminders. Its product site also emphasizes contact sources, LinkedIn updates, and keep-in-touch reminders. The ppl and Dex comparison is a place to line those workflows up with a personal record.

Nimble focuses on business contacts, deals, and team workflows. Its MCP connection lets a supported assistant find contacts, review history, add notes, log calls, and work with deals. Keepsake documents a hosted endpoint at https://app.keepsake.place/api/mcp that uses an API key from a Keepsake account, plus a local connector distributed as an npm package. Try the product whose records match the work you do. A business pipeline and a family address book can both be "contacts" and still want different tools.

Why ppl fits a personal record

ppl is a hosted personal CRM. The MCP server is https://withppl.com/mcp. Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can use that one account after you approve each connection. You can also open the same contacts, notes, birthdays, and follow-ups in the browser and correct them yourself.

Compatible clients connect with browser OAuth. On Claude, that includes automatic client registration. You sign in or create an account during the connection, verify your email, and review the permissions before you authorize. An agent that can make HTTP requests can also start an approval link. It requests a connection and shows you the link. You sign in or create an account, verify your email, review the permissions, and approve. The link expires after 15 minutes.

Each connection uses a scoped token. My agents shows activity for the connection and lets you pause or revoke it. Removing a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor does not always end the account access, so revoke it in My agents when you are done.

Connect ppl from the setup page

Follow the agent setup page for the client you use. The shared pieces are the server URL and the browser approval.

1. Copy https://withppl.com/mcp.
2. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it ppl, paste the URL, select OAuth and automatic client registration, and connect. Team or Enterprise owners may need to add it first.
3. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Name it ppl, paste the URL, select OAuth, and follow the sign-in. Install the plugin and select it in your chat. Workspace permissions may control whether custom servers are available.
4. In Cursor, merge {"mcpServers":{"ppl":{"url":"https://withppl.com/mcp"}}} into ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or into .cursor/mcp.json for one project. Authenticate ppl when Cursor prompts you.
5. In the browser, enter your email. Add your password if you already have an account. If you are new, ppl creates the account and emails a verification link. Verify your email during connection. Read the permissions and choose Authorize.

If the client cannot use OAuth, sign in and create a token in the MCP setup wizard, then point the client at https://withppl.com/mcp with an Authorization: Bearer header. Keep the token out of chat and out of a repository.

Confirm the server with one read

Use ppl to show my relationship briefing. Tell me which birthdays,
follow-ups, or open tasks are coming up. Do not change any records.

Check the answer against your account, and check My agents for a recorded request. An empty briefing means the account has little in it yet. Add a person or import contacts, then ask again. When you save a note, have the assistant show it first and ask you before writing.
