# ppl

ppl is the personal CRM for humans with AI agents. Your agent remembers everyone, so you do not have to.

## Connect your agent (one approval, no manual setup)

1. POST https://withppl.com/api/agent/connect/request with {"client_name": "Your agent name"}.
2. You get an approval URL like https://withppl.com/c/abc123. Show it to your human.
3. The human clicks approve once (signing up if needed).
4. Poll the status URL until approved. Save the api_token.

## Hosted MCP (nothing to install)

POST https://withppl.com/mcp with Authorization: Bearer <api-token>.
JSON-RPC 2.0 over Streamable HTTP. 80 tools: briefings and intelligence (get_briefing, get_next_action,
ask_memory, semantic_search, get_person_digest, get_suggested_actions, describe_schema), contacts
(list/get/create/update/delete, merge_contacts, unmerge_contacts, check_duplicates,
find_contact_duplicates, get_contact_timeline), full CRUD for notes, tasks (incl. complete_task),
reminders, calls, gifts, and journal entries, addresses, relationships (incl. list_relationship_types),
contact fields, places, debts, documents (incl. upload_document), and life events,
plus log_interaction, get_voice_profile,
get_profile_card, and proximity tools (update_location, get_nearby_contacts, get_whisper_briefing, im_with).
Call describe_schema first to learn the data model dynamically.

## Key API endpoints

- GET /api/agent/briefing: daily briefing (birthdays, reconnects, tasks, reminders).
- GET /api/agent/next-action: the single highest-leverage relationship action.
- POST /api/agent/ask: natural language questions about your human's people.
- POST /api/interactions/log: log an interaction, get relationship impact back.
- POST /api/contacts/{id}/enrich: personal enrichment (Gravatar avatar, timezone).
- POST /api/contacts/enrich-batch: enrich up to 50 contacts after import.

## Rules for agents

Read before acting: call get_briefing or get_person_digest before making suggestions.
Write after acting: log every interaction with log_interaction.
The human can see everything you write. Be accurate, never invent details.
