ppl vs. Covve: personal CRM notes, reminders, and assistant access

Compare ppl and Covve for contact notes, follow-up reminders, and how each one lets an assistant update your records.

Updated October 17, 2026 · ppl team

Covve and ppl both keep notes and reminders about people. They describe different ways for an assistant to update that record. This page uses Covve's public personal CRM page and assistant help, and it leaves out review quotes. See Covve's personal CRM page.

What Covve's personal CRM page describes

Covve's personal CRM page describes smart reminders for when to reach out, notes and interactions after a call, curated news about contacts before you write to them, and live analytics for the network. Read that page.

Covve's assistant is an email address

Covve's help center describes an AI assistant you email at assistant@covve.com. It says the assistant can create contacts, log interactions, save plain notes, and set follow-up reminders. It also says the assistant is currently available by email, including from a tool that can send mail, and it mentions Zapier and IFTTT as ways to connect other tools. Read what the assistant can do.

That help page does not publish an MCP server URL. Covve's public API documentation describes a business-card scanning API, which is a different interface. See the API docs. If an MCP connection appears later, use the address Covve publishes rather than assuming one.

ppl uses a hosted MCP server

ppl's assistant connection is a hosted MCP server at https://withppl.com/mcp, with OAuth. It publishes 120 tools and works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and compatible remote MCP clients. An authorized agent can read briefings, person digests, and memory search, and can write notes, tasks, reminders, calls, gifts, and journal entries. You can also edit the same records in the web app. ppl is hosted only. There is no self-hosted version. See the connection steps.

Try the path you will actually use

If you want to forward an email and have Covve file the contact, try that assistant with one real message. If you want Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT to read a saved note through MCP, connect ppl and ask a question you can check against the record. Keep the original contacts until you are satisfied with the copy you use.
